It took some time to get back on the road and back into the swing of things, but we finally made it! We have been hard at work and on the road a lot. We have made it through Yellowstone National Park and then went into two small towns in Montana. Virginia City is where most of the old historic buildings were shot and Nevada City is where we found the trains.
The land is still constantly changing and it still amazes us that with each new turn there is something new. We are now over 7000 miles into our trip. The feelings that come along with a trip like this are almost indescribable. You see mountains from the distance and they look so majestic and proud, but as you approach them they become very fragile looking as the wind and the rain have beaten them down. Still they fight to maintain their strength as they try to push back the new growth that is trying to over take them. The sky here goes on forever sometimes, yet others you are riding through the middle of the clouds. We have been up as high as 12,500 feet and as low as 283 below sea level. The temperatures are anyone's guess as you go from one place to another. Just two days ago while in Yellowstone Park it was snowing and sleeting. My amazement at this country has continued to grow.
Tomorrow we will head into Glacier National Park. That will be our last stop in the US on the Western side. We will then cross the border into Canada and make our way to Banff and Jasper National Parks. We cannot wait to see what awaits us. We hope that you will enjoy the new set of pictures. Please feel free to share the page and leave a comment letting us know what you think. It is always a great help to know what you do and do not like or enjoy so that we post what you most want to see. Thank you to everyone who has stopped by. We appreciate all of you.
